This film has a hint of romance as well between Roger Thornhill and Eve Kendal. In many of the scenes between Roger and Eve there is affective music, setting a flirtatious scene and in some cases, like when they first meet on a train, there is no music played at all, making it very engaging in a simple sense. The only sound heard is of the trains movement, and their talking. The second time that they meet there is soft music and a soft lenses on Eve, which again crates a flirtatious mood. Many of these scenes use affective music and camera angles and lighting to keep the audience at the edge of there seats and hanging on at every twist.
