Veterinarian Career

Ever since I was in pre-school my career path has always been to be a veterinarian but what kind always left me stumped. After coming to college and having the opportunity to hear from people in many different careers that involve animals I have come to the conclusion to pursue the career of an equine veterinarian. The main points I will be discussing are: what activities it involves, how one gets there, what general opportunities/availabilities exist for my career choice, and why I am attracted to this career path. Just like any other veterinarian the job description is pretty much the same except you specialize in the treatment of horses. The activities involved are “caring for horses; perform examinations; perform preventive medicine on horses; give vaccinations; diagnose diseases; diagnose injuries; perform surgery; treat animals with medicine or surgery; and
