In this article the author claimed that many people are unaware that United States citizens are victims of sex trafficking. More youths became victims of sex trafficking in United States. The Victim of Trafficking and Violence Protection Act characterized human trafficking as: sex trafficking where a sex act is included by force, fraud, coercion or a where a person or not eligible to perform because of the age. However, VTVPA claimed that sex trafficking are recruitment, harboring, transportation of a person for the purpose of a commercial sex act.
