I attended the Clark Atlanta Art Gallery Tuesday, September 13, 2013 in Trevor-Arnett at 11:30 a.m. The instructor a couple others and I had was Cynthia .She carefully and thoroughly guided us along the tour. She was very fluent and intellectual in the art pieces being displayed. She really knew what she was talking about, and you could truly see her passion for her work and the art. To my surprise there were many other students with me taking the tour. The art gallery is offered to the entire AUC to come visit and lean the history.…

Her un-quavering belief that a student is more than his/her mark inspires her students to perform beyond their maximum potential. She gives of herself to every aspect of the school, especially the success and the wellbeing of her students. This inspires me because I can see that being a teacher means so much more to her than just educating someone with the set syllabus. It is not a job; it is a calling.…

I chose to interview Mrs. Hinson: she is a neighbor of mine but she is also a new teacher in the Great Falls school district at Loy Elementary school. Last year she was a substitute teacher working around at almost every school last year. When I asked if I could ask her a few questions she said that she would love to. Since the school year started up this week she wanted me to e-mail her. Mrs. Hinson was very happy to be able to help me. Even with her busy schedule, she let me know that she combined question two and three because they seem to go with each other. Being a new teacher she told me that learning her role as a teacher instead of a substitute teacher will be new. Mrs. Hinson said she is extremely excited for her new role…

I remember my math teacher, Mrs. Amidon, in my high school who is always chatting with us during classes, she never takes classes strict. She always lets students to do the problem on the board. We have “international Friday” which is every Friday she will only choose international students to do the work on the board, because usually we are the shy ones. She will correct the problem and ask the student, who solved the problem, how he or she did it to make sure we truly understand the steps of solving a problem instead of just copying from the book. And sometimes there are some really complex questions that she couldn’t solve either, that’s when she ask some of the Chinese students who are extremely smart in the class to do the questions and she also learns from them. I really love the way she teaches us because everyone can be involved during the discussions.…

Patience, curiosity, open minded. These are some of the plethora of attributes I believe stitch up a hardworking, respected educator. She’s tiny in stasher and most likely unaware of the huge golden heart that seems to glow on the most gloomy days. Soft spoken, frigid almost; yet very dedicated and accomplished. She’s around 5’-0”; but no taller than me. She has this thin golden hair and these dark almond shaped eyes that glow when teaching any type of history. Although very petite in figure, I see a gentle giant beaming through her filled with energy, plenty of compassion and knowledge to offer.…
