Victorias Secret Marketing Analysis
Victoria's Secret is a womens brand that sells lingerie, sleepwear and beauty products. Victoria's secret is a brand that has fantastic marketing campaigns, the best known form is the annual fashion show Their marketing strategy is interesting. For example although the target users are women in New Year fashion show mostly man watched it because of the beautiful top models. And Victoria’s Secrets strategy is they encourage man to buy presents to their wife or to their girlfriend. Ethos of this site is wise and global because the author used the best models from all around the world to attract the attentions of a broader audience. It reflects a high quality because using sexy girls is risky since the dose of erotism can lower the quality of the site, so the site reflects elitism and high quality.

Pathos of this site is giving pleasure to the audience with beautiful visual images

Logos of this site is using what people want to see the most. Beautiful models in this case.

Generally they prefer to use pink because of their new collection. PINK is a lineup of loungewear, sleepwear, and intimate apparel geared mainly towards university and high school students. Why pink? Because in that ages most of the girls like pink color.

The images of this website are effective because of the beautiful, magnificent models. When you open the site you desire to buy something. I think this is the only good part of this site. The editors can make this web site better by using different colors to make the site more attractive by implying that the brand is sexy. Because Victoria’s Secret firstly represents being sexy.

In the book Signs of Life in the USA, Ann Norton explains “Stores hang a variety of identities on their racks and mannequins. Their window displays provide elaborate scenarios conveying not only what the garment is but what the garment means” (Norton 105). They do not use mannequins for advertisement. However, they engage consumers through other means. The font is sleeker; the images are sharper, and the captions are brilliant. Every day I see this commercial, by Victoria’s Secret promoting their bra, underwear, lingerie and perfume. There’s one thing that stands out beyond the merchandise Victoria’s Secret: All of the models are skinny, there’s not a plus size model in sight. I shake my head in shame because, even though I am all about positive body image, I am surprised at the lack of plus size models in the fashion industry and namely this brand. I am not the only young woman who’s concerned about this issue, as my younger sister who’s not even fifteen years old yet, is concerned about how people will perceive her in the future. Yasmin always yells, “Why don’t they make any clothes for big people?! I have enough perfume and sleepwear!” I’ve decided to drum up my own…
