Vidcon Persuasive Speech
VidCon 2017

As you may know, many people of this generation are addicted to the internet. Myself included. There is a convention in Anaheim, California where online video fans meet the video creators. VidCon is a four day, hands on, educational convention. Throughout the four days I will be learning all about the internet, what YouTubers do on a daily basis, how to use a camera all while having fun and getting to meet some of the online video personalities. Here are some reasons why you should strongly consider letting me attend the 8th annual VidCon.

One of the reasons why you should consider letting me go to VidCon is because I’m paying my entire way there. I will try to pay half of my total cost before we leave for VidCon, and the other half when we get back. I will be

All you would have to do is give permission and swipe your credit card (which of course I will be paying half of the total cost). You say this trip will be boring for you as you don’t know any of the YouTubers or anything about YouTuber, but this also a good opportunity for you to learn some things too. Also, VidCon allows you to come and go as you please. When you get bored, just simply walk back to the hotel and rejoin us a few hours later.

This would be an amazing opportunity for me to meet camera companies and get to handle cameras to help choose the best one. Since I’m getting into photography VidCon is a great place to learn more. I would be in beautiful state where I can practice basic photography with my IPhone camera as well.

VidCon pretty much pays for itself. With all the free gifts and meet and greats you get, you end up saving money. Imagine if all the YouTubers I wanted to meet came to Colorado and had shows. I would have to pay for every single one of those shows. It’s worth it to pay $125 to meet all the YouTubers I can within four days, plus a bunch of free stuff from the booths in the Expo

The reason why I want to do this is that I really enjoy the time as a photographer, and Lake Tahoe is always mentioned as the place with good scenery. The first time I went there, I forgot to bring my camera, which is the shame. So, I hope I can go there again alone, because this can reduce conflicts with my friends. But I’m still wondering if the $500 is…

With retailers being forced to choose between festivals, the chance for economic gain is lost. Spectators that cannot attend the Fan Expo are left with no alternatives to view and purchase expo items and retailers in general loose out because of reduced exposure. This consequently forces retailers to ascertain which festival would be more financially beneficial to them, hence reducing exposure and possible loss of business opportunities. As stated in Section 3.2 this can generate a negative reputation for Happy Star and the Fan Expo in general and have many negative social and economic impacts.…

Imagine that you trained all your life for that special moment of playing in your first NHL game. At the beginning of your first shift in the game suddenly another player’s stick comes up and strikes you in the eye. This incident ends your career. This could have been prevented if you wore a visor. I think visors should be mandatory in the NHL in order to improve a player’s safety. Statistics have proven players who wear visors in the NHL play less aggressive. There are many incidents involving sticks and pucks going into player’s faces. A recent incident occurred between Philadelphia’s Chris Pronger and Toronto’s Mikhail Grabovski. Furthermore, two years ago a former NHL player Brad May, Gave a speech supporting the use of visors.…

PTSD or Post Traumatic Stress Disorder is a psychiatric disorder that can occur following the experience or witnessing of life-threatening events such as the military combat, natural disasters, terrorism incidents, or any major tragedy. This is common in the life of veterans and is the leading cause of suicide among veterans. A VA patient who survived in Baghdad shares his experience with PTSD and explains how he knew he had this disability. Many veterans speak out about this issue and describe their continuous anger, alcohol addiction, and constantly wanted to fight. They usually feel very isolated and distant from their loved ones. One patient states, “PTSD involves rocketing into extreme states of stress re-activity; in the form of terror, rage, and uncontrollable impulses, and plunging into equally extreme states of being shut-down—exhaustion, emotional numbing, despair, and dissociation”. PTSD is about having fear and anxiety, allowing veterans to rage with anger and different emotion. There are many factors to PTSD, which affects others in different ways; or example, using video games to keep them occupied, spending money due to the lack of impulse control because of changes in their brain, and even not obtaining another job.…

What I am trying to get through to you all today is that your body is your body and that a person should be able to profit of his or her own body if done in a safe and controlled way.…
