PROJECT PROPOSAL

1. INTRODUCTION

1.1 Motivation
My friends and I use to do our movie rental at DVD King video shop based in CBD of Windhoek. One day I noticed that they write down the name and the phone numbers of each customer and also which movies are being rented out, and again customers taking time in the shelves searching for the desired movies to rent. This incident got me thinking as to how can I make a video rental system, make it very easy to use, and implement it on any system if possible, so I came to conclusion to make a web-based interface system that would be platform independent.

There is no web site which limits the business to local and word of mouth. There is also an accounting issue due to no centralization of funds. Because of these issues the company has lost customers and revenue. With the implementation of a Wide Area Network (WAN), and proper security steps, Sunica Music and Movies will have the ability to access, implement and use a centralized inventory database from any store. The creation of a webpage will also be necessary to be the company global as well as create an intranet between stores for secure location to location data transfer. There will need to be site set ups, one for the primary location of the web servers and data centralization and a backup location for disaster recovery.…

Optimism: hopefulness and confidence about the future. The warm-hearted feeling you receive when you take a step back and glance for a moment at the resilient, robust nation built around you. The nation where everyone is free to express their uniqueness in gender, race, religion, and sexual orientation. The nation with stout defense and solid guard throughout all branches of military. It’s not a surprise we have the world’s largest economy, and the dollar is the world’s reserve currency. We are the only Super Power on planet Earth, and that is something to be proud of. Something that should give you optimism when you think of our homeland’s future. As home to more than 316 million Americans, we have the potential to do great things. Things superior to Earth itself. America is a beacon of hope, hope for immigrants looking to start over and start living their lives anew, hope for technology advances in ways that are mind-blowing and seem unfeasible. Hope for energy, and living clean and green. And hope for the education of our future generations- those who will be running this powerhouse into the indefinite future and continuing our uphill battle to excellence. With so much in store for the United States of America, I am so optimistic about our nation’s future.…
