They are almost one. After World War II, the technology significantly improved and is still improving. As technology is more exposed to us, there are times that we need to use technology to accomplish certain tasks. The innocent twelve-years-old kid, just like other kids with cameras, was learning and playing with it. She didn’t know what she was about to record. She just filmed whatever she could see in the car. After the video that she accidentally recorded, spreaded in the media, the narrator claimed that this kid’s privacy “is being protected here”, but people still know why she had the camera with her and how she filmed that brutal scene (1423). People also know how old the kid is and this kid’s gender. She is “neither the victim nor the perpetrator of the crime”, but who just simply recorded the scene with no intention (1423). The film itself became so famous because “it is on tape and because the murderer has done it may times and because the crime was recorded by a child” (1426). The innocence of a child and the crime is so contradictory. But the fact that the innocence is involved in such a violent incident made people more interesting. It is so ironic that even the child’s privacy is being protected, the child is constantly mention throughout the story. People even called the kid “the Video Kid” because they have to call her something (1426). Not only the brutal video was popular, but “so is she”
