Vietnam Memorial Project Essay
For the design of this project, I looked at other Vietnam videos for ideas. I spent my time looking at previous works of Westlake High School students from previous years. Through that I got inspiration and started getting ideas for creating the design of my memorial project. Creating this memorial for me was pretty exciting I was really looking forward to making a video on memorializing the soldiers who died in the Vietnam War. I found it to be really interesting that I got to create a video on a solider. I liked how I got to put what I found and researched into the video. At first I thought creating the video is going to be really hard because I didn't have enough information but then I got a idea on putting events that happened throughout

Through doing this project I learned that the soldiers were hated on after they returned from the Vietnam War and how it was controversial topic. Many Americans thought America shouldn't have gotten involved in the first place. Many people didn't want them to be involved in the …show more content…
Those soldiers lost their lives in fighting the war and many of them were either married or barely graduated from high school and were drafted into the war. Some of them died at a really young age and maybe were in their mid 18 or 20s. While I was doing my memorial I was most satisfied on memorializing the soldiers who died in the war and commemorating them. I was really excited that I got a chance to make a memorial video on a solider who died in the Vietnam War. Mostly I was looking forward to how I got to make a short biography of my soldiers life through what I found as even if it's thought a memorial video. I really didn't communicate with other people about my project I just emailed some people like who worked in the newspaper, or have worked at the school where my soldier went. Through that I found some information about him but not a lot. I gained information on what he did and how sometimes to find something you have to reach out of your comfort zone to ask for help. I learned a lot about how Vietnam Veterans were treated upon returning from the war. Well the research project for this project was kind of similar but not really it was kind or
