During his formative years, Vince Lombardi studied to enter the priesthood. He was a devout Catholic that went on to revere his profession with the same regard as his belief. Lombardi altered his career path when he could no longer resist pursing his love of football. After his transition, he retained his characteristic stern demeanor.
