This game should be played out of skill and talent, not anger and hate towards other teams and players. You shouldn’t want to hurt someone just because they are better than you at something. This game used to be innocent and just played to pass the time; but now look at it. It has been found that coaches tell their players to intentionally hurt another player. They think that it will help their team win the football game. The coaches don't realize that the actions could be brought outside of the game. It should not be encouraged to do. Vontaze Burfict is a perfect example of a player taking cheap shots on players and trying to intentionally hurt them. An example of him trying to hurt someone intentionally is when he hit Steelers wide receiver Antonio Brown in the head after he clearly missed the catch and was grounded. Vontaze Burfict was suspended for 3 games after the hit to Antonio Brown. Now, think about it, do you think that only the player should be penalized, or should the coach to for teaching them these tactics. It is not healthy nor good for the reputation of the player or team. The NFL doesn’t penalize like it should for illegal hits just to the players can come back and do it again to a different player.
