If you have never seen a vision board before it is very easy to find multiple examples online. Plus there are numerous books written on the subject that will also have examples in them. In general they are collages of images of things you want to achieve in your life.
To make one yourself, the easiest way is to start by taking magazine clippings which you stick to a pin or poster board. The clippings should be images that inspire you, people that inspire you and images that represent your goals.
Personally I love technology so opt for going a little more high tech and creating a vision board with my computer.
After you have created your board place it …show more content…
somewhere prominent where you will see it as much as possible. For example a lot of people place it on a wall opposite their office desk. This is when the power of your vision starts to come into play. Each time you look at your board and the images it will create an impression on your subconscious and fuel your desires. You don't even actually have to consciously look at it ( although that will also help), but just having it in your space will mean your subconscious will take it in. It is this that will then help to ensure that actually begin to do something to ensure you achieve your goals. This board will tell your subconscious what it is you want.
In fact each and every time you look at the board especially if you have now set yourself goals relating to it you will become more motivated.
The more focused you are on achieving what you want the easier it is to get it and having a vision board works as a constant reminder of what you want.
But as with anything even when you see why a vision board is good for goal setting it does require dedication on your part. If you are someone who isn't willing to dedicate time and effort when goals have been set then of course the results you really want will not be achievable. It is therefore important however when devising a board that you make sure that you start off with a clear goal setting process and build it based on those goals.
Vision boards will help in your goal setting but in the end what will get you your goal is taking daily action!
