AFEBRILE- absence of fever

APICAL- a site for measuring heart rate with a stethoscope

APNEA- absence of normal breathing

ARRHYTHMIA- deviation from normal pattern or rhythm of heartbeat

BRADYCARDIA- slow regular heartbeat 60 beats or less

BRADYPNEA- abnormally slowed respitory rate

DIASTOLE- resting heart rate of blood pressure measurement

DYSPNEA- shortness of breath or labored/ difficult breathing

FEBRILE- having a fever

HYPERTENSION- high blood pressure 140/90 consistently high

HYPERVENTILATION- decrease respiration rate w/shallow depth of respiration

ORTHOPNEA- difficulty in breathing in any position except up right

PYREXIA- another word for fever

SYSTOLE- PRESSURE OF BLOOD REPRESENTING HIGHEST AMOUNT DURING CARDIAC CONTRACTION TOP # BP

TACHYCARDIA- fast heart beat greater than 100 per min

WHEEZES- high pitch sound heard during expiration often caused by obstruction or narrowing of respiratory passages

1.Hair- The fibers that make up hair are composed of the protein keratin, the same hard protein material that feels the cells of the epidermis. The process of hair formulation is much like the process of growth in the epidermal layer of the skin.

2.Epidermis-Is composed of the stratified squamous epithelium. This type of epithelial tissue consists of flat scale-like cells arranged in overlapping layers or strata.
