Michael Jackson is a well known popstar, and many may have heard of or know of his depigmentation of his skin. Why would he want to change his skin color, right? What many do not know is that Michael Jackson had a skin disease. The skin disease that he had is called Vitiligo.Vitiligo is a disease that attacks your melanin forming cells (melanocytes), which causes white patches of depigmented skin.Vitiligo is highly noticeable disease and can be usually self diagnosed. Vitiligo occurs in loss of pigment in patches upon the skin. Any type of skin may get this disease but it is more noticeable in darker people. Also no one can measure the rate at which you will lose color when having this disease.
