What I need to know about "The Interlopers" vocabulary:
1. Understanding the context in which a word appears means looking at the words, sentences, and paragraphs that come before and after the word in question in order to decide which meaning the author intends.
2. etymology refers to the origin and development of words over time.
3. acquiesce is to go along with or comply without protest.

6. You hinder advancement when you block the progress of something.
7. If one lacks physical or mental energy, he or she is filled with langour .
8. A looter or marauder is one who roams in search of plunder.
9. Something is precipitous when it is abrupt or extremely steep.
10. A skirling is described as a shrill wailing sound.
11. When something is likely, it is wont to happen.

1. Explain why it is important to look at the words, sentences, and paragraphs that come before and after words with more than one meaning.

It’s important because you might get some of the sentences, vocabulary words or paragraphs incorrect or have different meanings to certain works.
