Wal-Mart is the largest retailer in the world. This includes over 4,800 stores, including 1.475 discount stores, 1,750 Wal-Mart Supercenter combination discount and grocery stores, and 540 Sam's Club warehouse stores. Walmart is an international company with stores reaching multiple continents throughout the world. They have sales of over $250 billion and made profits of $9.1 billion. They employee over 1,500,000 people worldwide and plan to add an additional 800,000 people by the end of the decade. With Wal-Mart being the worlds largest retailer, there is likely to be controversy with the policies they hold with their employees. Meaning, the difference in pay between men and women. There have been many issues with the pay scale that Wal-Mart offers to their employees. From the lowest pay of cashiers, stockers, and greeters to the store managers all the way up to the corporate level, there is a vast difference between men and women. There are many ethical issues that not offering equal pay leads too. When sexes are not paid the same, it leads to many people being upset.
