Walt Disney Copyright Analysis
I do not think Professor Faden infringed on Walt Disney’s copyright. I believe Faden followed the rules and laws pretty well. His video was produced for educational purposes on the copyright law. He only used very small amounts of Disney movies and collaborated them all together. It has a great educational purpose and people benefit from it greatly. It makes learning what copyright and fair use is much easier. This video is sort of ironic because if Disney’s big deal with copyright.
Professor Faden’s purpose of this video was to educate people on the copyright law. He gets his point across of what copyright is. He does a very good job at informing or teaching others what copyright really is. The video is fun to watch and not boring like some other copyright videos can be. It gets its point across. It is also for a non profit cause. He uses the work in a very classy way. It’s only purpose is for educational uses and no others. It is specifically made for teaching others what the copyright law is. Students are not charged a fee for viewing the video either. This video falls under educational purposes. He only uses about 8 seconds from each movie and he doesn't use the main

So therefore you would imagine that he would know the terms and laws of fair use and copyright. He claims hos video is fair use and I would be confident in what he is saying because he is a professor for creating stuff like that. Overall Professor Eric Faden did not break the terms of fair use. His video is for educational purposes, he made it to describe fair use and copyright. He only used small amounts of the disney movies. He did not use main phrases from them, he only used small sections that could be no longer than eight seconds, and he uses very small words. He doesn't charge people for viewing the video, it is free. So therefore Professor Eric Faden did not break any copyright or fair use laws or

We all know, or at least hear about, Disney’s relationship with copyright, and how they refuse to let anyone touch their work. The character Mickey Mouse alone has lasted 87 years with a copyright over its head. Disney doesn’t want anyone to use their work under any circumstances. Although there is a brave man, who goes by the name of Mr. Faden, who used the loophole in the system in order to educate others in the most ironic way. This paper is discussing the court case of Mr. Faden’s remix “Fair(y) Use Tale” vs. Walt Disney. Mr. Faden’s remix is an educational video about the rules and laws of copyright and how it works, but the entire is told through clips of Disney movies. Walt Disney is claiming that Mr. Faden’s remix,“Fair(y) Use Tale, is copyright…

At issue in the twenty-first century is the trade-off between the necessity of writers, musicians, artists, and movie studios to profit from their work and the free flow of ideas for the public benefit. Movie (and music) industry participants claim that encryption programs are necessary to prevent piracy. Others, however, including the defendants in cases such as Universal City Studios, Inc. v. Corley, 273 F.3d 429 (2d Cir. 2001), argue that the law should at least allow purchasers of movies, music, and books in digital form to make limited copies for fair use.…

The last film Disney himself worked on was 'Winnie the pooh and the blustery day'.The company of Disney today is split into many different divisions with the one probably most influenced by Walt Disney himself is the Walt Disney animation studios. This division is located in Burbank California. From 1966 until 1984 there was a severe decline in the popularity of Disney films. It wasn’t until Michael Eisner took over the restructuring the Disney returned into prominence an eventually led what now is called Disney Renaissance in1989.The Disney Renaissance is easily identifiable by many of the most cherished films such as 'Beauty in the Beast','Little Mermaid and The Lion Ling'. These films will go on to create legacy of excellence in Walt Disney studios to live up to. They achieved status in the industry rarely seen in animation studios and set the new bar to the excellence in story, animation and overall production design. The films during the Disney Renaissance acquired many awards from different institutions including many best picture…

I disliked the foreign captions. Some parts of the video were not in English. The parts that were not in English left me wondering what they were talking about. Since the captions were in a foreign language, I was unable to read and translate the speaker’s words. Another weakness is the sound of the video. Sometimes the sound was different from the speaker's mouth. Some of the strengths in this film was some of the lecturers were entertaining. The content they discussed was interesting at times because they added real life examples. Though the picture quality was bad, I could tell the video was put together nicely. They displayed keywords and quotations throughout the movie. Each keynote speaker seemed passionate about the information they taught. The graphic and video transitions were nice as well. Overall, I enjoyed the video though at times boring. The orators broke down the universal laws in ways I could understand it thoroughly. The pictures caught my attention and the speakers were…

Banning alcohol dug Americans into a really deep hole that was hard to escape. Prohibition, also known as the eighteenth amendment, was the act of banning alcohol in America. Alcohol created many problems, so people who were supporters of the banning of it, “Prohibitionists” thought that just getting rid of it completely would solve every problem. This idea that getting rid of something entirely just because it causes problems was not well thought through. Women and people involved in religion were usually supporters of Prohibition. Women believed it caused problems in the home and in their marriages, and people involved in the church and religion believed alcohol consumption had too many negative effects.…
