Both parks have a wide variety of attractions; however The Matterhorn is exclusive to Disneyland. The Matterhorn is one of the more popular roller coasters at the Disneyland Park. "The Magic Kingdom in Walt Disney World is "just like" Disneyland in California." (Bennett, 1) However, Walt Disney World does not only consist of the Magic Kingdom, there are also three other theme parks: Epcot Center, Disney-MGM Studios, and Disney's Animal Kingdom. "Walt Disney World also boasts 99 holes of golf, two miniature golf courses, two themed water parks: Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach " (Davis, 2005, 2) Disneyland also consists of more than one park. Approximately three minutes, on foot, from the Disneyland Park is California Adventure. If you were to travel from one park to another at the Walt Disney World Resort, you would need to board a monorail or bus. Even taking a monorail or bus, the distance from one park to another would take ten to fifteen minutes to travel, in addition to the time it takes to enter the park through the turnstiles. The total time it would take to travel from one park to another in Walt Disney World is approximately twenty to twenty-five minutes. The difference in the weather at Walt Disney World and Disneyland is astounding. For example, the weather in Southern California, where Disneyland is located, tends to be very warm during the summer season. However, the heat at the Disneyland Park is a dry heat. Disneyland does not have the extreme humidity that is found in central Florida, where Walt Disney World is located.
