There is a magical source of power in every Cinderella story; whether it is a fairy godmother, birds or some other mythical being. In Walt Disney’s “Cinderella” there is a fairy godmother that is there to lift Cinderella’s spirits back up (Grant 249). In Disney’s version of the story, Cinderella cannot go to the ball due to a lack of proper clothing and accessories. The godmother does Cinderella a favor and magically creates her the most beautiful dress ever seen, elegant glass slippers and fancy transportation means; however, they will all disappear when the clock strikes 12am. Cinderella’s spirits were rejuvenated; she was then ready to take on the ball. The magical fairy godmother in this story represents a friend, parent or maybe even a success coach. She represents someone who will be uplifting, encouraging and persuade one to continue following his or her dream. Anything is possible, especially when others are there to help one get through it. While at the ball, Cinderella is the most beautiful one there. The prince who is hosting the ball cannot take his eyes off of her; he dances with her the entire night.
