Walt Disney's Mary Poppins Returns
MONTREAL xx 2016—Cinesite announced today that it has been appointed as a main vendor on Walt Disney’s Mary Poppins Returns, a sequel to the 1964 classic film Mary Poppins.
The musical stars Emily Blunt as the magical nanny opposite Lin-Manuel Miranda, as Jack, a street lamplighter. Rob Marshall is directing Mary Poppins Returns from an adapted script by David Magee, as well as producing alongside Marc Platt and John DeLuca. The film’s visual effects supervisor is Matt Johnson, with whom Cinesite has worked previously on Now You See Me 2, Jack Ryan and World War-Z. Cinesite’s supervisor is Christian Irles, whose previous credits include Assassin’s Creed, Miss Peregrines Home for Peculiar Children, Pan and Into the Woods.
