Walter Dean Myers: A Clear Day, Bad Boy And A Monster
Walter Dean Myers had discovered he liked to write. His teacher told him to read in front of the class. Mr. Dean had frozen in front of everyone, after that he wrote even more. He became a great writer. He wrote lots and lots of books. Mr. Dean also wrote different genres. Walter Dean Myers had dropped out of school when he was seventeen. Although he dropped out, he still wrote a lot. Mr. Dean began to write books, some of them are A Clear Day, Bad Boy, and A Monster. That’s not really surprising, because he loved to write and he liked going to the library. He was well-known for the books he had written. Mr. Dean died in the year of 2014, in Manhattan, New York.

    As a child, Walter Dean Myers had speech impairment in school. This problem with his speech meant that he had trouble reading regular written or printed words. Soon after an incident in class, which involved a speech to the class, Walter Dean Myers’s teacher noticed that it was much easier for him to read his own written words. This inspired him to write poems and short stories. Later when Walter was seventeen, he dropped out of high school and served in the army for three years. The struggles of being in the army only intensified his love towards writing.
