Was Christopher Columbus A Hero Or A Villain?
In May 20, 1506 , Christopher Columbus died because he went to America and claimed that he found America but all he did was take over a natives land.

Christopher Columbus was a villain because he took over land of the natives and made them believe and turn into a Christian.

He wanted to find the fastest way to Asia, he wanted to get some money so he wanted to search for gold and tried to marry the queen because he knew the queen was wealthy and he knew he wasn’t wealthy.

Christopher Columbus’s legacy was that he “discovered america” but he just took over the natives land. Christopher Columbus took the natives land and use the natives as slaves. Christopher Columbus attempted to change all the natives to become a Christian. He kept looking for gold in the land. He pretty much just went to search for land and search for a shorter route to Asia. Christopher is a Gold Digger. …show more content…
Christopher Columbus took over the natives land and the native didn’t do anything to affect him. He brought diseases from the boats to the land.

    After reading Howard Zinn’s viewpoint on Columbus, the Indians, and the human progress I can now confirm/characterize that Columbus is, as historical figure, not a hero, but somewhere in between being a hero and a villain (being more towards a villain).     Christopher Columbus can in no way, shape, or form be considered a hero. A hero is someone who performs good deeds for the sake of others and not for their own benefit.
