Was King Christian Different From Other Kings
I think that King Christian was different from other kings because he didn’t have a huge ego. He was able to sacrifice his position as king in order to save his people. I think he made the right decision because he save many of his people. Trying to fight against the Nazi’s in a direct military conflict had no chance to succeed. However, the people were able to continue to fight secretively through a resistance movement. This was a more effective way for Denmark to fight the Nazi’s. It was clear that the people of Denmark loved King Christian and this is way they said that “all of Denmark was King Christian’s bodyguard.” The people were so dedicated to him that each of them would do whatever they could to protect him.
