Was Lizzie Borden Guilty Of Killing Her Parents?
So the topic is that Lizzie Borden is guilty of killing her parents. In some cases they said that she isn't guilty but in my case she is. The reason being is that she was the only person that would have had a grudge against her parents, and her sister was out of town of the time of their deaths, so even though there was a rumor of a mysterious man lurking around the Gorden’s house at the times of death there is not enough facts that it is actually true.

The evidence that i collected clearly states that she burnt a dress that was supposedly had a blood/paint spot on it. Which makes me believe that she is trying to hide something because she had others ways of getting rid of the old dress, like throwing it in the trash or giving it to the lower class. The way that she acted during court when someone said something about the dress made a worried look on her face. Giving more and more people a suspicion that she is either hiding something, or that she actually did it. I found my evidence on the Bridget Sullivan doc on page 2. Giving me a solid reason to say that Lizzie borden is guilty of killing her parents. But some

Along with that she said that she took a break and ate three pairs in a musty dirty old barn by a dirty pigeon cage. Now why would a person eat in a dirty place like that especially a women back then. There is investigators statements saying that there was no fishing and that there wasn't even footprint in the barn, but even though she said that she was in there she could have lied. Some people may even say that there is no right and wrong about doing about things in a barn, like eating pears or food in general. But women back then don't really do that because being so close to pigeon cage would have probably made them sick because of the

There was evidence that wasn’t collected such as blood that Mrs Chamberlain offered to give to the police. Evidence such as their tents and belongings were moved to a motel on the first night, which could’ve caused contamination allowing the evidence to have alterations. Their tents and belongings were also not searched. In addition, the family was then allowed to leave in their car the following morning without it being explored allowing contamination with another piece of evidence. Furthermore, evidence that was discovered later on in the case such as Azaria’s jumpsuit was moved then picked up and was not placed as it was found which tampered with the evidence. Although the collection of evidence throughout this case demonstrated faults, the Jury still concluded to Mrs Chamberlain as a guilty woman, which led to her…

For many years people have been fascinated with murder cases. There have been many cases throughout the U.S. that many people have been interested in. Such a case is the Lizzie Borden case. Evidence has proved that Lizzie Borden murdered her parents because; of her poor relationship with her step-mother, her resentment of her father, and her mental instability. On August 4, 1892, Lizzie Borden committed the gruesome atrocity of bludgeoning Andrew and Abby Borden to death. (Linder, 2004) The reason behind this was, she had a poor relationship with her step-mother, Abby Borden. During her interrogation she told detectives when they referred to Abby as her mother, “She is not my mother, sir, she is my stepmother. My mother died when I was a child.” (King, 2016) This shows that Lizzie never viewed Abby as her mother. Moreover, Lizzie and Abby hardly spoke. Lizzie hadn't eaten with her parents for five years. Andrew gave Abby a property which made Lizzie resent her father and loathe Abby even more. Furthermore, Andrew killed pigeons in his barn that Lizzie had built a roost for. (Linder, 2017) Lizzie was said to of yelled at her father. All in all, Lizzie also had the motive to murder her father. Lastly, she murdered her family due to her mental instability. One reason why Lizzie Is guilty is because before the murder, she was in the barn for quite a while. In the text it says, “At the time of the murder of Andrew Borden, Lizzie claimed to have been in the loft of the backyard barn for 15 to 20 minutes looking for lead sinkers for a fishing excursion.” This quote shows that Lizzie was in the barn for a long time. Mrs. Hale and Mrs. Peters clearly did not have respect for the law. They both kept the evidence that Mrs. Wright killed her husband a secret. These two women put themselves in Mrs. Wright shoes. They understood why Mrs. Wright killed her husband. They both knew that if their husband had treated them the way Mr. Wright treated Mrs. Wright that they would have probably done the same thing. They also snuck Mrs. Wright things in prison that they were aware she was not suppose to have. “Mrs. Peters is governed by this dogma, until she remembers the silence in her own house after the death of one of her children. This memory produces a powerful bond between her and Minnie 's experience of isolation and loneliness, so powerful, indeed, that Mrs. Peters herself attempts to hide the box with the dead canary in it—fully aware that this action goes against everything society and her husband expect her to do, not only on legal grounds but also because, as a wife, Mrs. Peters is not supposed to act against her husband” (Brown 2011 ). These two women were not close to Mrs.Wright but illegally hid evidence in this case in her favor.…
