The title of the movie I chose is The Notebook, filmed in 2004. I chose The Notebook because it is one of my favorite movies about a woman with Alzheimer’s disease which is a form of dementia.

The depiction of the mental illness was accurate. He would read about their lives and she would start to remember. I work with Alzheimer’s and dementia patients and they do remember things someday and other days they do not remember. The other characters in the movie were saddened by her illness. Noah is the same age as Allie and he does not have Alzheimer’s it’s not a normal part of aging it is a disease a mental illness. Page 251

In the movie Allie has very authoritative parents, she is not allowed to date certain types of men or be out passed a certain time, Page 242. Allie and Noah show a lot of attachment in the movie they hate to be separated, the have a certain bond between each other as if they are meant to be together and are attached Page 240. Allie and Noah grow together all the way from adolescents to the late adulthood as their story has shown. They were together through all the hormones to their hair and skin changing as late adulthood rolled around Page
