Stakeholders are individuals and constituencies that contribute, either voluntarily or involuntarily, to its wealth-creating capacity and activities, and who are therefore its potential beneficiaries and/or risk bearers1. There are several different types of stakeholders associated with a corporation, and those stakeholders can have different views and opinions on what corporation 's goals should be and how they should be running. I have interviewed three different stakeholders of Staples Inc., an employee, a customer and a stock holder, to find their relationship between them and the firm. Then, I will use this information to suggest how the firm should proceed and continue to have a better and more beneficial relationship with its stakeholders.…

People often think of stakeholders as people with a monetary stake in an organization, but not necessarily true anymore. In the past, people considered stakeholders the people with a financial stake in the organization that would receive profits from the success of the business. Today stakeholders cover a much broader spectrum of people such as funders, administration, staff, volunteers, community, and the target population (Yuen/Terao, 2003). Each group of stakeholders has his or her influence on the program plan as well as the success of a human service organization and programs services (Yuen/Terao, 2003).…

After learning more about the Watergate scandal, I think that Richard Nixon calling the Watergate break-in “a crappy little thing that didn`t work” is frankly bullshit (excuse me language). This is coming from someone who actually admires much of what Richard Nixon got done as President, but no matter how much he accomplished as President Watergate looms over it all like a dark cloud. Everything about the scandal was at best unethical and at worst illegal. The scandal all start when five men broken into the Democratic National Committee offices looking for dirty on George McGovern the Democratic candidate for President. The five men were caught and apprehended and James McCord admitted that high-ranking White House officials helped plan the burglary.…

The Annual Stakeholders’ Reports are listed year by year, and each report is bulleted with four similar titles: Form 10-K, Annual Stakeholders Report, Letter to Stakeholders, and Notice of Yearly Annual Meeting & Proxy Statement. The Form 10-K contains a title page, a table of contents, and the content of the report that is organized as Part I – Part IV with Items 1 – 15 within the Parts. The Form 10-K is an analytic report written with a formal tone, and the theme is consistent throughout the report. The Form 10-K offers information and analysis; the content within the annual report (Form 10-K) is written in paragraph form with bold topic headings and italicized subheadings. The Annual Stakeholders’ Report includes graphics and tables to clarify financial data for the corresponding year. Stakeholders are those individuals, group or organization that has interest or concern in an organization. They can affect or be affected by the organization’s actions, objectives and policies. Not all stakeholders are equal. A company’s customers are entitled to fair trading practices, but they are not entitled to some consideration as the company’s employees (Business Dictionary, 2013). The stakeholders involved within this sales contract between Joe Smith and Bill Batesman are Joe Smith, salesman, management team, and employees of…

    Stakeholders: Large Firms

    • 972 Words

Unlike shareholders who are solely interested in return dividends and share price growth, stakeholders have wide variety of interests in how companies operate. Freeman (1984) stated that stakeholders are, “any group or individual who can affect or is affected by the achievement of the organization’s objectives”. The main objective for firms is profit maximization and for this reason I agree to a certain extent that large corporations abuse their power against stakeholders.…
