According to USAonWatch.com it states, since 1972, the USA-on-Watch Neighbor Program has worked to unite law enforcement agencies, private organizations, and individual citizen in a nation-wide effort to reduce crime and improve local communities. More neighborhood citizens in America should start a Neighborhood Watch Program in their neighborhood. First, there are many things that you could stop from happening to you or your next door neighbor if you have had a Neighborhood Watch. Second, to start your own neighborhood watch there is a couple of steps you have to take. Next, when you join or start a neighborhood watch you will start to see changes in you r neighborhood. Finally, after starting or joining a neighborhood watch you’ll step into action in the next person’s community.
First, there are many things that you could stop from happening to you or to your next door neighbor if you start a Neighborhood Watch Program. The National Crime Prevention Council states that often Neighborhood Watch groups get started because there have been incidents in the community that have caused concern; acts of vandalism, burglaries, or auto thefts. These are all types of crimes that Neighborhood Watch is the most successful in reducing, and if you don’t have a neighborhood watch in your neighborhood you may or will have to deal with drug-dealers, gangs and robberies. These are all things that could happen in your neighborhood if you don’t have The Neighborhood Watch.
Second, to start your own Neighborhood Watch in your neighborhood there are a couple of steps you have to take. Starting your own Neighborhood Watch takes time and effort, According to (NWA) Neighborhood Watch Association it states that; the first thing you should do to get a NWA started where you live is to call the local police department or sheriff’s office to find out if they have their own program to implement and run
