Our region, the state of Georgia, has a large number of freshwater lakes. Many people like to go swimming and fish in these lakes. If the lake was polluted, the water would be contaminated with chemicals and litter . The fish who live there would get sick, resulting in whoever eats the fish and swims in the polluted lake possibly contracting diseases. The state of Georgia is also famous for its peaches. If the water was contaminated, the peaches would die, or get diseased from bacteria. Whoever eats them could get sick.
In conclusion, we cannot survive without fresh water. Despite the Earth’s surface being covered with seventy-one percent water, only a tiny amount of it is fresh water. Less than half of that tiny amount of fresh water is clean and accessible. My family and I use a lot of water throughout our day for many different purposes of hygiene and hydration.. When there are chemicals, bacteria, or litter in water, these toxins can be
