INTRODUCTION
A hydrated salt is a crystallize salt molecule that is weakly attached to a certain number of water molecules. Salt is created when an acid's anion (negative ions) and a base's cation (positive ions) are combined to produce an acid-base molecule. A salt molecule that is not bound to any water molecules is an anhydrate, and a salt molecule that is bound to water molecules is a hydrated salt. In a hydrated salt, the water molecules are transforming into the crystalline structure of the salt
Nowadays, aluminium sulphate is one of the most important salt in industry, it can obtain by heated aluminium sulphate hydrate. The uses of aluminium sulphate are
1. used in water purification
2. Used in mordant dyeing and printing textiles
3. Used to reduced the ph of the soil
4. Aluminium sulfate is the active ingredient of some antiperspirants
5. Used as waterproofing agent and accelerator in concrete.
6. It is also used in styptic pencils, and pain relief from stings and bites.:

METHODOLOGY
1. The crucible was heated for 10 minutes to remove the impurities
2. The crucible was cooled and weighted, the mass was recorded
3. Approximately 1 g of Aluminium sulphate hydrate was put in the crucible and weighted
4. The weight of the hydrate was calculated
5. The crucible was heated for ten minutes with the lid almost covered
6. The crucible was cooled and reweight, yhe mass is recorded
