The report related to water and water provision in arid areas. Water is one of the most important factor impact to survival of creature and people, however resource of water is facing with problems such as polluted water, waste fresh water... special in arid areas where is almost empty water supply. People are trying to use many method to deal the problems of water run out in arid areas.

3.1 Importance of water and water provision.
3.1.1 Importance of water.
People have traditionally settled near water sources. An adequate and depend-able source of water is needed to sustain humanity and to support future growth and development. (p80)
Water for economic development.
Water development is essential to growing economies. Over the centuries the world has witnessed an unprecedented expansion in urban water supply, irrigation, dam storage, drainage, water transport facilities and other water schemes as development has occurred at different rates in different regions. ( p81) Demands of water are often seasonal, relating not only to agriculture, but also to peak demands for tourism and hydro-power production. In term of agriculture – especially food production – has historically been a first stage of national development. For example, in Thailand poverty fell from 57% in 1962 to 10% in 2002, with initial declines led by growth in agricultural. The experience showed that water directly impact to the economic development.
Water and health.
