watership down
The book, “Watership Down,” written by English Author Richard Adams, tells an unusual story about a group of talking rabbits in a warner. One of these strange talking rabbits has a vision of the warner be destroyed by something. He apparently has a rabbit brother and they both go talk to the chief rabbit about evacuating from the warner. Their efforts are shortened and fail as the chief is unwilling to listen. The two unusual talking rabbits decide to set out on their own with a small band of rabbits to search for a new home. They travel through dangerous territories until finding a new place to settle. Even though the story line is a little strange the book in all was meaningful and there are many lessons to be learned. The first lesson is to trust and believe in others. The second lesson is that anyone can be a leader. The third lesson is that there is good in all bad. Here let me explain some more. The first lesson I read from this book was to believe in others. In the book Fiver is a runt rabbit whose name literally means "Little Thousand". As a seer, he has visions and very strong instincts. Fiver is apparently supposed to be one of the most intelligent rabbits in the group. His personality is quiet and intuitive, and though he does not directly act as a leader, throughout the story the others listen to and follow his advice. Fiver is the one who receives the frightening vision of his warren's imminent destruction. He and his older brother Hazel go to the chief and try to warn him of his vision. They have no luck as the chief refuses to listen to Fiver. Later in the book the warren does end up being destroyed. I will use this lesson in my life by accepting someone’s worries or dangers, trust what people say, whatever their standings are, runt or pick of the litter. Especially when the outcome is as big as our town be demolished. This lesson teaches me to have belief in other people.

First, in Watership Down, the rabbit's way of life due to fear of being eaten is intriguing since humans don’t have that worry everyday. It was trailing a chain, so it must of broken…

In light of the description of anthropomorphism, I think it is only fitting to use the novels Charlotte's Web and Watership Down to demonstrate them. While both of these novels show animals behaving in different manners, they are both uncharacteristic of normal animal behaviour. Charlotte's Web shows animals behaviour as primarily human while Watership Down demonstrates animals behaving mostly as animals. This said, we see that both these novels show their characters with human traits, however they are all confined to their physical limitations as animals. A perfect example of this is Charlotte, from Charlotte's Web.…

Of all the disturbances being listed in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM-IV-TR)1 only a few of them have not yet been portrayed in films. Cinema has certainly been fascinated by insanity and its manifestations, and psychiatric disorders have provided film directors and scriptwriters with a stream of material for their scripts, action, and themes. Taking that interest into account, it is necessary to reflect on the vision of mental disturbances that has been transmitted by cinema to the public in general. For most average citizens the only contact they may have with the psychiatric reality is through cinema; hence, films are their one - yet strong -…
