William and kick him out of the walls, protecting their people. He never understood why Mark had done this, they had always been friends. The same with the other council members. That is when William started to plan his revenge.
He had found an old house to live in with limited supplies not far from his old town.
William knew that if he had gone back to Waterville then bad consequences would come. But he had a better idea; he found black oil and slicked his hair back, grabbed a handkerchief and wrapped it around his nose and mouth then finally put on sunglasses to hide his identity. They would never know it was him.
The day that changed Waterville forever was October 20th, 2064. The day had seemed normal, all of the townspeople had just gotten up and to their jobs when some realized something strange. There was no water. They thought this was very odd considering Mark had told them the water would never run out, that they had enough to last them the rest of their lives. A panic broke out, causing the townspeople to rush to the makeshift city hall to Mark and ask what is happening. He reassured them that he would figure out the issue as soon as he
could.
Waiting back in his office, sitting in his big swirly chair for him was a man, this man was somewhat familiar to Mark. At last the man had spoke. “I’m sure you may know who I am but for now you can call me The Revenger. Your people seem worried, and that is what I planned for. You had promised them a lifetime supply of water though you knew, at some point, it would run out. This is where I come in. My plan was to get rid of all of the water somehow but I realized that isn’t possible!” The mysterious man chuckled but spoke again, “Since you had not believed me that my message from God was true, I decided to show you how true it was. I had made a toxin that I put in the main water source that causes the water to turn to solid rock. Your pipes had burst after the rock tried to push through. Now, your people will suffer because of your decision. If you had just listened to me and believed in me, we wouldn’t be in this situation right now. You have no water left. Your people are panicking. Now what do you do, Mark?”
