Waverly And Comparing Dollars Case Study
Waverly and Disappearing Dollars
1. How would you solve Waverly’s budgeting issue? In order to solve Waverly’s issue, I would advise her to work on the zero-based budget, this is where every dollar has a name before the month begins. Waverly is doing great at giving every dollar a name but instead of doing it as she spends her money she needs to do it before the month begins, so that she is already aware of where her money is going to for that month.
2. Is Waverly right in giving every penny a name? Yes, Waverly is definitely doing right by giving every penny she spends a name. By doing this she can recognize exactly where her money is going. If Waverly doesn’t continue telling her money what to do, then she will always wonder where it went. She is very smart to give every penny she makes a name and purpose.
3. Instead of updating her spreadsheet every time she makes a purchase, is there a better way for her to keep track of her money? If so, how? What advice can you give her to help her meet her goals? Sofia needs to begin working on the 7 baby steps. If she follows these steps it will allow her to be finically ready for the future. By doing the 7 baby steps it will help to prioritize her money and came out ahead. I would also advise Sofia to be very patient with the process. Since she has an irregular income it is even more important for her to budget her money. She must put it on paper and have a purpose for her money before every month begins. Sofia needs to run a regular budget form for the income that she knows she will get. For the extra money that Sofia might get then she needs to fill out an irregular income planning form. This will allow her to know exactly where that extra money she might get will go and still benefit her. Planning for unpredictable income is very

In establishing the budget the first determination that was made was the amount of money necessary for each of the designated areas of spending per month. This was determined by dividing the amount of money currently allotted annually by the months in the year (12) to determine if the budgeted amount was on or off target. The amount of expenditure in each category was also considered. For example, the annual budget for personnel is 250,000. If this number is divided by 12 months the amount of money allotted to spend for personnel during each month of the fiscal year is 20,833. The amount of money expended during the month of March was 20,000. (P. Slimmer, personal communication, November 17, 2011).…

Throughout the ages the concepts of dreams have been explored. Dreams have not necessarily contained the same substances but gradually changed according to the environment, beliefs, and social understandings. When America first originated, the dream of religion was brought from Europe. Puritans were the first landowning Americans to come and live in North America (Indians were the original owners). Puritans came to America to escape religious persecution; they dreamed to have religious, economic, and social freedoms. During the colonial era people were known to be pure and no evil was ever seen, heard, or said about. It was a community of peaceful ways and religious aspects. Puritans began accomplishing these dreams but the same mistakes (killing…

Ford Motor Company did not start out with its current name nor did it start with its current reputation or leadership standing in the automotive industry. A man named Henry Ford on November 3, 1901 started the Ford Motor Company. In the beginning, the car company went through multiple name changes within a short time period and eventually landed on the all time name of Ford Motor Company. With the help of 11 investors bringing together only $28,000, Ford Motor Company launched in 1903. In the early years, the company was able to produce just a few cars a day in its Detroit Michigan factory. Teams of a few men assembled each car with parts that were contracted from other companies.
