Ways Exercise Improves Heart Function
There are many foods ways exercise improves heart functions. When exercising, the heart pumps blood quickly since more blood is needed where the muscles are working. Due to the increased blood flow, the heart is receiving larger quantities of blood. Overtime the left ventricle enlarges so it can hold more blood and pump more blood out per beat. Due to the enlarged left ventricle, the heart rate drops since more blood can be pumped in or out of the heart per beat. This helps lower the risk of heart diseases. The heart becomes stronger as more exercise is done. Exercising which helps keep blood vessels open, reduces the risk of a heart attack.

Right-sided heart failure is a consequence of left ventricular failure. When the fluid pressure increases in the left ventricle, but is too weak to pump the fluid out into the aorta, the fluid regurgitates into the left atrium and subsequently backs up into the lungs. In the same manner, the right ventricle pump deoxygenated blood to the pulmonic vein but is met with great resistance due to congested lungs, thereby pushing the fluid back into the right atrium, and into the vena cava. This backing up of blood causes swelling of the abdomen, legs and ankle.…

In relation to heart rate and exercise, our cardiovascular system plays a vital role in delivering blood and nutrients to our muscles controlling the body temperature. While we exercise, the muscles will need more oxygen which will cause increase in the amount of blood because our heart will be pumping and moving that blood from passive organs to active muscles. Hormones will release to give sign for our heart rate to increase so that more oxygenated blood and nutrients will be transported to where we need them the…

Addiction is a debilitating condition that inhibits the proper function of the human body and can cause severe disruption within a person’s daily life. Exercise addiction is most common among athletes, bodybuilders and those who are regularly involved in any form of exercise. Exercise becomes an addiction when an individual compulsively engages in any form of exercise regardless of physical injury, personal inconvenience or disruption to other areas of life including marital strain, interference with work and lack of time for other activities (Landolfi, E. 2013).…

Heart failure affects almost 6 million Americans. About 670,000 people are diagnosed with heart failure each year. It is also the leading cause of hospitalization in people older than 65. Congestive heart failure means that the heart is still pumping blood, but at a slower rate than normal, so the pressure in the heart starts to increase as a result. This slower heart rate causes the heart to be unable to pump enough blood to provide the rest of the body with the amount of nutrients and oxygen that it needs. As the pressure increases in the heart, the chambers stretch to hold more blood, or they become stiff and thickened. This compensation mechanism works, but eventually the myocardium (muscle layer of the heart), will weaken and the heart will decrease in its efficiency to pump blood. This results in a reduction of blood supply to the kidneys, which then begin to lose their ability to excrete salt and water. This lessened function of the kidney causes the body to retain more fluid. The fluid build-up then leads to edema or congestion of tissues, hence the name congestive heart failure.…

First of all, when a person begins exercising it immediately starts working their heart. When a person’s heart begins working because of exercise it pumps harder; this can lead to a better circulation for blood flow. Since the blood flow is increasing it causes more oxygen to be carried throughout the body. Better circulation due to exercise can also lower one’s blood pressure. All of these can result in a stronger and healthier heart due to working out.…
