The researchers gathered all the equipments and ingredients required, namely: Annatto seeds, vinegar, knife, strainer, container, kettle/sardine can, pliers(if using sardine can), chopping board. The procedure the researchers conducted was simple. First, all the ingredients were prepared. Next, soak the annatto seeds. After soaking, pulverize the soaked annatto seeds. After, boil the annatto seeds with the vinegar. After boiling, pour it in a container.
The researchers then concluded that in making ink, one could also use annatto seeds. Set-up B(trial2) being the best set-up proved to be the having the good quality of color, having good odor, and most appealing among the other set-ups.

Chromatography is a term used to define a set of laboratory techniques for the separation of mixtures. Through Chromatography we analyzed complex mixtures. In our recent lab we analyzed complex mixtures. The purpose of this lab was to find whether the water soluble or acetone soluble liquid traveled farther. In our recent lab we measured the distance traveled by the different colored water and acetone soluble inks. W put three dots of water soluble ink on a piece of filter paper and four dots of acetone soluble ink at the other end. We then put the end of the filter paper in a small amount of distilled water in a beaker. The filter paper absorbed the water and the ink slowly spread to the top of the paper. We repeated these steps for both the water soluble and acetone soluble ink but when we did the acetone soluble ink, we placed the filter paper in an acetone-water mixture instead of just distilled water. We then recorded our results which showed that water soluble inks traveled farther than the acetone soluble inks. The results of our experiment showed how each different color of water soluble inks traveled farther than any of the acetone soluble inks.…

Paste is a type of glue made from starch or dextrin, a starch product. This investigatory project shows that we can produce our own colored paste without spending much time and money and by performing simple steps. That’s why this Science Investigatory Project can help students save their money instead of spending it in buying expensive and commercialized colored glue. In addition, this colored paste can be an additional source of income. It’s not just affordable; it’s also safe and non-toxic because the ingredients used are starch, water, natural dyes from plants and alum. Alum is used as preservative to prolong the shelf-life of the paste. Natural dyes from plants like Annatto seeds, mayana and turmeric were tested as coloring for this paste. We can also use other coloring from plants by researching and do further study to improve the quality of this colored paste.…

We choose this study because we know that it is more unique and will help us in reducing people who are cutting trees by illegal way. The people will be admired and will be willing to buy the hand-made paper if they will know that they will prevent the people who are doing illegal cutting. We should tell the people who are doing illegal cutting to stop it because our environment will be destroy if they still continue to do that. Instead, they should cut trees in good way and use it properly. For example, is that we get a piece of wood bark of malunggay and make it as a hand-made paper that can help the people to make boxes. They can use it to put things in their houses so that they can keep their surroundings clean.…

Black Ink: There are several ways to make black ink. Here's an easy one: take one egg yolk, ½ teaspoon lamp black, ½ cup honey and one teaspoon gum arabic. Lamp black is available commercially or you can make it yourself by holding a plate or any receptacle over a lit candle - it will take some time to collect half a teaspoon though. Mix all of the ingredients to make a thick paste and add enough water to this paste to dilute it so that it flows easily as a fluid.…
