This report is the result of a Fieldwork Study to the Walton Cantonment Board (WCB) office, Lahore. However, it would not have been possible without the kind support and help of many individuals. We would like to extend our sincere thanks to all of them.

We would like to express our gratitude to Mr. Afzal (Director CTP) & Ms. Naureen Yaqub (Academic Group in-charge) for their kind co-operation and encouragement which helped us in completion of this project. Furthermore, we would also thank Ms. Razia Masood (Group in-charge) for her kind support and assistance during the field trip.

We are highly indebted to Mr. Wasim Shahid (CEO Walton Cantonment Board Lahore) and all the officers & staff of the Walton Cantonment Board, who shared their valuable knowledge and expertise with us throughout our stay.

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

This report was commissioned to examine the working of the office of Walton Cantonment Board Lahore, its functions, the procedures they adopt to carry out their day to day responsibilities and last but not the least, the limitations of the Board in carrying them out. Two visits were made to the office of the Walton Cantonment Board. Data Collected and the field tours undertaken reveal that the Walton Cantonment Board is working as efficiently as possible within their limited means.
