wealth and fame
When a man begins his career in right earnest he is attracted by two forces namely wealth or fame. He has to fix his aim on either of them to get both of them as very difficult if not impossible. We can enjoy ourselves dainty dishes put on fashionable clothes reside in palatial buildings get best entertainments visit foreign countries and have numbers other luxuries with the help of wealth. If we have money we can help our friends and relative in distress. Gold gives us everything we want.
From this point of view fame is surpassed by wealth Fame cannot produce any of these things for us. We often find famous persons in the grips of financial difficulties.
Love of wealth makes us industries. A philosopher has rightly said that our present progress in all the spheres of life is due to the love of wealth. More love of fame is a few of us would have kept us in darkness.
All the time love of fame is nobler from than the love of money. In acquiring rather amassing wealth we have often to adopt dishonest means. We have to flatter one man bride another and deceive the third. Generally it is not so in acquiring fame. A poet or a painter cannot get fame by dishonest methods. But in the sphere of politics some persons do adopt underhand practices for coming in limelight.
Wealth leads to various vices while fame does not encourage them. This does not mean that famous men have no vices. But they have to avoid vices to maintain their fame. Wealth is a burden while fame is like light feather.
A person hankering after wealth is very selfish He wants wealth at any cost. We have heard of m any examples of persons who have betrayed their country for the sake of the money. Famous persons may be selfish in their own way but they know that their fame depends upon their merit and have thus to behave in certain way. Betrayal by them of their country will soon change their fame into notoriety. Wealth implies on merit in the person possessing it. Through in flattery we

Tim Blixseth kept explaining to us how most rich people he know were cocky, arrogant, stuck up or flamboyant. Tim was nothing like that; he didn’t want people to judge him accordantly to the other rich people. He strongly hated the fact that most rich people are jerks and looked down toward the middle/lower class. Money does change people a lot. I feel like if you were born with money and everything given to you, than you would be a stuck up person. But if you worked hard for your money than you know where you can from and would be cared hearted toward the lower class. Money is the root of all evil. It gives the wealthy a since of more power, makes them believe they rule us. By thinking this way, we all are going to be in trouble if they can get any more power. I believe that not all wealthy people do not have this type of attitude but most are by the way they were raised. But I believe that if you are raise your children properly and teach them the correct morals of life, then you can be a great person with the wealth.…

Celebrity and fame shows that it can lead people to many different ways such as in a positive or a negative approach. The positives can be money or admiration of the society and the negatives can be drug and alcohol or rumours from the media. I chose money because it is one of the basic aspects of fame involved in celebrity and fame. Money is also related in one of the text, Asturias. One quote that is mentioned in the novel is from Alex, “Twelve months of…”fame and fortune”. The ride was every bit as exciting as they’d promised.” This quote shows that “fame and fortune” saying that money can be a fine and thrilling obsession in life. Another Quote from Asturias was from Max, “It’s an image industry… there can’t be a positive side to it all.” In this quote, Max is now showing the down side of fame and having all the money in the world can come at a cost.…

A lot of times people think of money as a good thing, but really it corrupts. Jonathan Swift had said“A wise person should have money in their head, but not in their heart.” When people gain a lot of wealth most of the time the start to look down on people but in the end it doesn't matter because we all end up the same. Dead. “We all gonna die, we bleed from similar veins.” Tupac Shakur explains this perfectly, no matter who we are we’re going to die because we are the same, human beings. The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald shows how wealth creates social class which can ruin relationships.…

    Megan Daum's Fame

For example, a Nigerian celebrity Okuneye Idris Olarenwaju, also known as Bobrisky, he is famous for acting stupid and doing unnecessary things on social media. He was able to gather attention when he claimed he had a lover who is assumed to be masculine gender despite the Nigerian constitution at that point in time which made such same-sex relationships an offense punishable by serving 14 years in a penitentiary. He isn’t famous for the good that he has done but for the nonsense, he posts on his social media pages like Instagram and Snapchat. I can also relate this essay to Fame 101 because the author just like Daum talks about how people became famous due to the scandals that they have created. And, they both differentiated fame and fame-iness. In fame 101 the author states that “fame might be a misnomer as many people confuse it with celebrity, Barrack Obama has fame.” The author of fame 101 considers people who have impacted our society and people who have talent as famous people. Daum did the same thing in her essay, “unlike actual fame, which involves some talent and hard work, “fame-iness” requires little more than a willingness to humiliation…

Wealth is something people want not what people need. Generations have come up with many different ideas of how to gain wealth, whether it’s inheriting it from family or working for it, it's still wealth. People think being rich and having a nice house or a nice car or having money to do whatever they want will make them happy. Humans will judge others based on their wealth even though it may not be necessary. Because of this, people want to be wealthy and not judged. Being in a high state of wealth can give oneself the hope to achieve many new, exciting things. In F. Scott Fitzgerald's, The Great Gatsby, wealth is a big deal. People are separated into East egg and West egg, based on how wealthy they are. East egg is for wealthy, high class…

    • What human beings want is to increase wealth with no limit and to maintain their store of money. They are so occupied with life that they want to live it, not live it well. And since their appetite for life is unlimited, they also want an unlimited amount of what sustains it. And those who do aim at living well seek what promotes physical gratification. So, since this too seems to depend on having property, they spend all their time acquiring wealth. And the second kind of wealth acquisition arose because of this.…

A multitude of people who are famous, came from nothing and made themselves into someone with hard work, determination, and the incentive to be known. Examples of this include: average athletes are becoming olympians by enduring rigorous training, money, and time; Oprah’s journey from poverty to prosperity by becoming a successful radio talk-show host; and singers who are being recognized through American television shows such as American Idol or The Voice. In political offices, a prosperous person is a lot more likely to win because they can afford to campaign and travel more. The political example shows how the power of money has a heavy influence on people voting and how a person with money usually possesses an advantage. However, not everyone has benefitted from this new American Dream, there are a plethora of people left disappointed and…
