The resources managed in logistics can include physical items, e.g. food, materials, equipment, as well as abstract items, e.g. time and information.

Here is where all the ingredients are mixed together. For the Oatibix flakes the combination of ingredients are as follows:
• 64% - whole grain oats
• 11% - oat bran
• 25% - minerals, vitamins and acids
All of the above ingredients are mixed together and made into the Oatibix flakes shape. Once all these have been mixed together the oatibix flakes are moved along a production line where they are cooked, toasted and coated in syrup. Once they have gone through all these processes the flakes are left to cool down. Once cooled the flakes are ready to be packaged.
At this stage, the flakes are placed into a plastic bag which is filled by weight and is sealed by a heated strip. The bag of Oatibix flakes is then placed in a cardboard box which contains Weetabix information of the product and all relative branding.
Once the boxes have been sealed they are all grouped together and placed in large containers for ease of transport. These large containers are then moved to the factory warehouse.
