Web Conferencing Programs Research Memo
I have been asked to research the best available web conferencing programs; that would be the best choice to conduct this week’s weekly status meetings.
After conducting research I narrowed my choice down to four of the best programs that I think that would work best to conduct the weekly status meeting:
1. MeetingBurner
2. Citrix GoToMeeting
3. OmniJoin
4. Cisco WebEx
From here I decided that Citrix GoToMeeting would be the best fit for our status meetings and possibly to set meeting with customers in the future. I choose Citrix GoToMeeting because: You can show your screen and work face to face. Decide if you want a VoIP or telephone audio. And you can join from any Mac, PC, or nearly any smartphone or tablet.
To start up a meeting is as easy as launching GoToMeeting and click Meet Now from your device. To gather your attendees all you have to do is click Invite Others, and then once your attendees are present; they have the option to use the computer’s mic and speakers (VoIP) or call in via phone. If the attendee chooses the VoIP option they can use their webcam to videoconference. Also you can let others present or give them control over the keyboard and mouse, by clicking on the Change Presenter feature and/or Keyboard & Mouse buttons.
