First of all, they block too many websites. Schools block sites like Pinterest, Spotify, BuzzFeed, Wattpad, etc. BuzzFeed, for example, is a website that is used for sharing social news and entertainment with adults and students. There is really no reason to block it. Most students are smart with technology and will find a way around it, so there isn’t a point in blocking it anyway. Most web filters block out websites that have actual information on them. Thus, leaving us with the useless websites that have no information on them about the subject. Students are expected to work in class on in-class assignments that require websites that are blocked by the school. It creates a problem for students and teachers. It restricts students from learning the things they need to succeed in their school work. There’s a big problem with YouTube, YouTube videos that have information on them to be exact. It makes a problem for teachers because they have to go through the process of unblocking the video. Most of us students have hard times finding the actual information needed for a particular assignment. It gets pretty annoying trying to find a website that has the information I need on it when they’re all
