Business dictionary defines distribution plan as a plan created by the management of a business that specifies how the firm intends to transfer its products to intermediaries, retailers and end consumers. Currently I am a full time seller on eBay. eBay is an ecommerce company that provides a platform for consumer-to-consumer sales and service. The products that I sell come from different distribution channels. Some of the products I purchase are directly from the manufacturers whereas most of the products I buy are from suppliers. My basement serves as a storage space for all of the products, and I do all the shipping and handling myself. I use USPS as my preferred shipping carrier and for larger packages I use FedEx.
Score.org is a great resource for entrepreneurs; however I do not believe SCORE mentoring can be of any significant assistance in my distribution plan for my current eBay business. Nevertheless, I can utilize SCORE mentoring for my future venture in which I plan to start my own e-commerce website. SCORE mentoring can help me not only with the distribution plan but also with my business plan.
