Purpose
The purpose of this memo is to discuss the process of losing weight and keeping it off
Discussion
Losing weight and keeping it off requires dedication and discipline. Before starting the process, one has be ready, set goals, be mindful of what they eat, track consumed food or calories, exercise, have a support base and a long-term plan. When coming up with a plan, ensure it’s tailored to fit your individual lifestyle. Everyone’s metabolism is different, a plan can be affective to one person but not the next.
The first step to losing weight is to prepare and get yourself ready for the new healthy lifestyle. Come up with reasons for the weight loss, examine the benefits of losing weight, and the steps, the steps you need to take to achieve

Evaluate your eating habits and make necessary changes that cuts down on unhealthy food options. Your new eating plan should not deprive you of the food you like to eat as this can have negative results and you will end up frustrated with the diet. The best way to come up with a sustainable plan is to exercise moderation and controlled portions.
It is important to know the foods that help with weight loss and understand key principles of healthy diets. A typical weight loss diet often contains high-protein, low fat, low carb and low calorie food. Fresh foods and vegetables are essential are staples in healthy eating. Avoid alcoholic and sugary beverages, drinking at least eight glasses of water. Do not starve yourself, eat at least three meals a day and at least 2 snacks a day.
Exercising is also important when losing weight and maintain the weight loss. Evaluate your exercise habits and come up with a plan that works fits best with your lifestyle. Your exercise or work out pattern should be something that you can see yourself enjoying. Working out does not always include going to the gym, you can opt for yoga, cycling or dancing programs such as Zumba
