Also, weight training takes excessive dedication. Another concept is, “Weight training improves self-confidence” (Dinu 1). Thus, weight training helps someone perceive themselves better. They will not be shy and they will start participation in class more often.
“Weight training helps with stress” (Dinu 2). Stress is a major problem within the teenage community. Popularity and respect are a huge factor and if a person does not get noticed, it is very stressful. Teens have a lot of stress and weight training is a great way to take stress out of a teenagers day. Also, “Weight training improves the independence of an individual into the late years of life” (Dinu 2). Independence is a huge factor for the average man or woman in today’s society. Everyone wants to be independent and to show the world who they are.

“Weight training can increase the risk of injury” (Dinu 3). The risk of injury is well known in the fitness world, but, it is easy to prevent. Another drawback is that, “Weight training has a risk of aggravating an existing condition” (Dinu 3). This risk can be avoided by getting a check up with a local physician.
