Melodyne essential
Many thanks for choosing Melodyne essential! The installation CD and the download package contain the installation program, called MelodyneEssential.exe for Windows and MelodyneEssential.mpkg for Mac OS X.
Installed files
The installation requires around 40 MB of free space on your hard disk. The following program components are installed: • the Melodyne application itself • the Experience Tour • a documentation folder containing the User Manual and two audio examples The program languages are English, German, French, Spanish and Japanese. The minimum system requirements are as follows: [PC] 1 GHz processor (Intel or AMD), 512 MB RAM (1 GB recommended), Windows XP (SP2) or Windows Vista (32 bit). [Mac] 1 GHz processor (Power PC or Intel-based), 512 MB RAM (1 GB recommended), Mac OS X 10.3.9 or later.
Activation and myCelemony
Before you can use Melodyne on your computer, you must register at myCelemony as a user and activate Melodyne. This procedure usually only takes a few minutes and needs to be performed once. "Registering" means opening a user account in the myCelemony section of the Celemony web site. This happens in conjunction with the activation of Melodyne. "Activation" is the process of authorizing the use of your copy of Melodyne on a particular computer. You have to activate Melodyne before you can use it for any length of time.

An activation assistant integrated into Melodyne guides you through all the necessary steps for registration and activation. This assistant runs automatically the first time you launch Melodyne and can be opened later through the 'License' entry in the 'Window' menu.
