War books are hard for me to get into especially all the details that are given and the need to google many words that I don’t know. I was unable to connect with this novel as well as I did with the last. Although I did not like this book due to the content, I still enjoyed grasping the knowledge as much as I could. I indeed did use an audio taping to help me read because no matter what I did, I could not get as involved in the book as I wanted to. My first thoughts were why are these men fighting for rations?
