Whale Rider Tradition

In the movie The Whale Rider there tradition is that there is a baby boy supposed to be the choose one of their past ancestor, but the baby boy died when he was a baby but his sister survived and her name Pai. When Koro found out he had lost faith because he didn’t think Pia couldn't be the chosen one because she’s a girl but he should been less stubborn because Pai proves him wrong many times but he doesn’t recognize it because he knows she can’t be the one because she's a girl and the one already died so he thought. Although in the Film all the leader are all the boys as well with the students and all the girls work in the kitchen and don’t do things as big as them.
