America, have you ever just stopped, and wonder what are the basic fundamentals that make you proud to be an American? In other words, what makes you proud of your country? Many people just believe America it just another insignificant and common north American country conforming the earth’s geography. Well based on your personal experience with America, which opinion do you think America is more likely to match with? In this essay I am going to be expressing my personal opinion of this country, making you change your view and opinion about it. Well what is equality you may ask. According to the urban dictionary equality is the state of being equal in status, rights, and opportunities. “There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female, for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.- Galatians 3:28 (NIV)” Why is it so important then? I am glad you asked. In both the Bible and America equality is seen as a great and indispensable human right, we are nothing without it. “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.-Declaration of Independence” Just as a refresher this document inspired the war that ultimately set this nation free from Britain’s control. Without the believed in equality this nation would still allow slavery, women would not be allowed to vote, and many more awful treatments would be happening. Just imagine trying to live Without the security and basic human rights that the law offers you just because you are “different.” It may sound ridiculous now, but back then it was a really big issue. But fortunately now we are safe because not only our rights are protected under the law of God but also under the law of
