Paramedics first arrived at a scene, they can't be a minute late because a minute or even second late can cause someone their own life. Their first job once they arrive to the scene they had to see how extreme the injured patient is becuase it will help the paramedics decide how to treat the patient. Also if paramedics must see any history of the patient to see if they have any diseases or a medical history; this can also change the way they treat the patient. (“Paramedics 1”) Once paramedics get the patient stable enough to transport, one paramedic drives while the other paramedic keeps a close eye on the injured to make sure there are no changes. Other paramedics work in helicopters for horrible accidents where just the ambulance won't make it in time. Even though paramedics can work in small places the pressure is always top notch and insanely risky because paramedics cant focus whats going on around them, they can only focus on the patient hurt. Paramedics work for many services suchs ad citys, and county emergencies, private ambulance services and police departments. Accidents and emergencies can happen at anytime day or night. Paramedics work irregular hours a day or night because they run on shifts everyday. Paramedics have more work time than most places because they can work around 40 to 70 hours every week. Most paramedics will also work on weekends and on holidays. (“Paramedics 2”) Paramedics also work under huge large amounts of pressure even conditions. Paramedics also have a large load of physical tasks while working on shifts inside the fire house or while working on a patient. Sometimes paramedics must work while kneeling climbing or lifting up heavy loads.
