What Are The Causes Of The Cold War

The Cold War was a time of political and military tension between United States and the Soviet Union. The cold war wasn't any normal war, there was no mass killings, no tanks or fighter jets, there wasn't even any ground units. What there was though was a lot of nuclear weapons and money being spent on propaganda such as; newspapers, magazines and radio. They were spending money as if an actual war was going on. And even though there wasn't any real physical war going on there were two great superpowers. The Cold War was started by the United States and the Soviet Union who were in an arms race after World War 2. These two powerful forces were fighting to be the dominant power of the world. The war was a complicated because it was mostly about the fight for Ideology, Communism and Democracy. After World War 2 the Soviet Union was trying to spread their communist ideas with the world while the United states was trying to spread their Democratic Ideology. The clash between Communism and Democracy caused great competition between the United States and the Soviet union. The competition between the two countries that it ranged from sports to space exploration, they wanted to be better than each other in everything.
