Therefore, Lilly’s producers and marketed should be guided by the value and the consequences that will arise because of the products that they present to the public. With the consequences of their actions in mind means that there will not be a production of lethal and poorly tested drugs and marketer will present the right feature and side effects of using the products without concealing anything.
In an effort to have products tested prior to distribution and selling in accordance with the laws of the U.S Food and Drug Administration the company violates the rules by using alcoholics and unhealthy people, therefore, the deontological approach is not applicable in the company. The FDA requires that companies use healthy consumers who have been approved by it. The company goes against its core value of integrity by doing this, since it’s not being honest and does not adhere to set rules (Bachmann, 2015). The company’s procedure of testing is questionable and makes the product not good for consumers since the drugs may be given a green light as fit for consumption but in a real sense they become lethal.
